So… I quit teaching 2 teach!!

Updated: Nov 18, 2022

Hey Parents! Hey Teachers! Happy Sunday!

How was your weekend ?! Can you believe we are almost at the end of October and it’s November… where did 2021 go??

I know many of you are getting mentally and physically prepared for the week ahead in school and work …

I wanted to share with my education family what’s been going on in the life of your favorite educators , favorite educator …… and provide you with a few ‘Moments of Motivation

In life, you will be taken through an emotional rollercoaster; you will experience a whirlwind cycle of ups, downs, twists and turns.

The lessons and tests that you go through are designed to re-create you and make you stronger , wiser and better.

”if you know better, you do better right ?!”

As many may know, my passion and purpose is Education; more specifically teaching!!

I love the control of being able to transform one empty classroom full of young, impressionable minds into a productive ambitious individuals!!

it’s the ‘INSPIRE, EMPOWER & EDUCATE’ for me!!!

My teaching career started in 2008-2009 as a 5th grade teaching assistant, ended briefly in 2010-2015 to go into nonprofit and continued in 2017-2020 teaching middle school.

Middle School is my heart and soul; allowing me to use my creativity to take their young minds to another level of success. Middle school conversations and teaching are those conversations that hit differently as well as teaching you about yourself.

I left the classroom in March 2020 ABRUPTLY and when I mean abruptly… I didn’t tell a soul. It’s one of those situations where you have to leave to get your mind and life together so that you can continue to fulfill Gods purpose.

I tried my hand at teaching 1st graders , 4th and 5th graders and even a Before and After school program but nothing felt right … teaching and education didn’t feel the same when I was in the middle school classroom.

Fast Forward to October 2021…….

On Monday, October 25, 2021; I will be re-entering the Middle School Classroom back at the same school that I left abruptly.

New management! New Staff! New opportunities to fulfill the purpose and plan God has for me!

The crazy part is ….. I didn’t go back looking for them, the school found me and contacted me!

Im ready to go back and fulfill my passion with a recharged mind, refreshed spirit , a year older and wiser …. I have taken all of the mess I went through before and turned them into lessons!’

If you made to the end of this blog…. Thank you ! Thank you for engaging in my story time and allowing me to be transparent with you and tell you how this educator went from teaching to quitting teaching to back to teaching just by being faithful.

it if my mission to inspire , empower and educate students , parents and even teachers to remain strong when you are faced with adversity.

Here see your “Moments of Motivation“ for the week:

  1. Trust God (or a higher power) in your circumstance and have faith HE will bring you out on top.

  2. Take the leap. Make the jump. If you are battling between decisions , sometimes you have to just go for it and ask questions later . If it’s meant for you , it will work out

  3. Know your self, Love yourself and Trust yourself. It’s ok to seek out help from friends and family but the only person who really knows what’s best for you is YOU

  4. Move in silence . The world don’t need a play by play of your life m. Only tell what you want to tell until you figure it out.

  5. Live life without regrets !!

I hope this blog post helped someone today . If you know anyone who’s going through a tough situation with a difficult decision to make, Share this on your social media timeline.
