End of the Year Reflections, Reflect on 2022: Taking a Deeper Look at YOU!

Updated: Dec 9, 2023

Hey Teacher Besties & Parents! I can't believe this is the last blog post of 2022.!

I'm typing this as I relax in a lavender salt bath, in reflection mode; thinking about my year.

It has been an emotional roller coaster of years. There weren't many balanced moments, it was either all the way up or all the way down.

I spent this week and today planning in my Passion Planner and closing out my 2022 books as a Teacher-preneur Author and Creator. If anyone knows me, know I'm an organized planner addict! I will (and do) have about three or four planners at a time.

Planners keep my goals and myself aligned. It helps me to focus and reframe my intentions for the day. I have tried a multitude of planners: Printed and Digital, and while I love my digital planners, printed planners are always #1. It's nothing like any other to feel the touch of paper and write out your thoughts, emotions, goals, and dreams.

One of my favorite planners is Passion Planner

Passion Planners are more than a planner; it's a daily, weekly, and monthly accountability of your goals, dreams, and visions. From the mind maps, to-do lists, weekly quotes, and reflection pages;

  • it serves as your time management system for your life and a creative journal and scrapbook.

  • It gives you an opportunity to look back at your accomplishments and see how far you have come during the year.

Completed 2022 Passion Planner

My favorite part of the Passion planner is at the end of every month, it gives you an "End of Month Reflection" and at the end of every year, you are given an "End of the Year Reflections".

Reflections are very important to your life because it forces you to take an honest look at your life and critically analyze how your days, weeks, months, and years have impacted you and provide you with a plan and new knowledge to improve and grow.

Reflections help you to focus on a deeper level on the "What's Next?". It makes you think through your experiences and make significant changes toward success.

Reflections allow you to take a narrowed-down, bird's eye view of your daily living. You begin to step back and revisit your thoughts, emotions, feelings, and accomplishments.

Reflections serve as your "Record of Thoughts".

It's time to face your 2022 Reflection!

As you finish out the last few days of 2022, I want you to take a moment to reflect on your 2022.

  • Think about all 12 months and evaluate your thoughts, feelings, emotions, and accomplishments.

  • Take some time to think about how you started and how you ended.

Taken from the Academic Planner in Passion Planner , Here are seven (7) writing prompts to help you reflect on 2022:

  1. From 1-10, how do you feel overall about this past year?

  2. What advice would you give yourself at the beginning of the year?

  3. What were the three biggest lessons you learned in the past? What is one way to incorporate those lessons into your life?

  4. Review your 2022 and assess your priorities. Are you happy with how you spent your time? If not, what steps can you take next year to adjust them?

  5. How are you different between this year and the past year?

  6. Who and/or what are you grateful for this past year?

  7. Name three things you can improve upon next year. What are some concrete actions you can take to work towards these improvements?

Take some time for yourself and really dig deep and answer honestly. You can answer them in a Passion Planner using my special code and link HERE or you can answer them in a journal. Reflecting on your year, it gives you clarity and freedom to move into 2023 and accomplish all of your goals and dreams!
