Hey, Parents Hey!! Happy October!
Can you believe that we are in October; only two more months left in 2021! I just love the FIRST DAY of the month; it's like a Happy New Year every month. New month, New beginnings, new opportunities to transform your life for success. it's like a 'Restart' in your life.
I am a part of a group coaching program, LWS Coaching Group, facilitated by Coach PurPose (Women's Empowerment Advocate, Motivational Speaker, Author, Spoken Word Artist, TV/Radio Host, 4x Breast Cancer Survivor) and we just finished our last PUSH week. PUSH week is five days of meditation, prayer, coaching, and journaling that helps women in the coaching program take their personal and business life to the next level. This PUSH week was dedicated to 'Refresh, Refocus, and Restart' and we learned that today, "You are the RESTART!" - Coach Purpose.
As we begin this new month, the beginning of the 4th Quarter, and Restart/Reset our life; it is important to 'Set your Intentions'
Setting intentions involves the action of stating what you intend to accomplish through actions. When you begin to set intentions, you are making a commitment to what you want your life to be about as you level up. Being intentional means you are focused on the moment of who you are, what you do, why you do it. Setting intentions helps ground you; it sets the foundation for your life.
Six (6) Ways to Set Intentions in your life
Identify the desire or the want in your life.
Do the self-work... Know YOU!. Get clear on who you have to be... Set your expectations
Decide specific action steps. Create a plan of action.
Shift any limiting beliefs... Remove negative thoughts, actions, behaviors
Reinforce intentions daily. 'Repetition builds muscle memory
Surrender and lean into faith. Pray! Meditate
Always remember.... STAY CONSISTENT!
Setting intentions keeps you focused and grounded. It defines your 'ReStart".
What are three (3) things that will keep you grounded this month?
This month... I am staying focused and grounded by doing three (3) things consistently every day:
Praying every morning, afternoon, and evening; Meditating; and Fasting away from anything that is negative or causing distractions
Journaling. Writing down my fears, happiness, gratitude, feelings, and emotions.
Staying a Student... Listening to podcasts, taking a class or course, and staying educated.
How do you want those things to carry you today?
These three (3) things will carry me today because they will keep me focused on the 'main thing' and my 'Why" when it feels like I am going off course.
How do they make you feel more connected to yourself and others?
By praying, meditating, fasting, journaling, and staying a student; I am feeling more and more connected to God (or the Universe), myself. It's important to connect yourself with positive, like-minded people who will hold you accountable and keep you focused as well.
